Emergency aid for displaced people in southern Lebanon
Now we must fight the humanitarian crisis
The recent airstrikes in southern Lebanon have plunged thousands of people into a deep humanitarian crisis.
Countless families have been forced to leave their homes and now face destitution. Amidst this crisis, the Three Musketeers Reutlingen eV, together with their long-standing partner İmece İnisiyatifi Derneği from Turkey, are providing urgently needed assistance.
Escalation and humanitarian crisis in Lebanon
Since September 2024, tensions between Israel and Hezbollah in Lebanon have led to intense military clashes. This escalation has resulted in a massive displacement of people within Lebanon, particularly in Beirut, where the number of internally displaced persons has risen to almost one million.
Immediate aid for the most needy
In light of this dramatic situation, we immediately launched emergency relief measures to support displaced families in southern Lebanon. Our relief efforts at a glance:
Distribution of aid supplies:
Providing mattresses, blankets and pillows to give families a minimum level of comfort in their temporary accommodations.
Provision of food and hygiene kits to meet basic needs.
Distribution of power banks to ensure access to communication and information.
In the first phase, we are supporting at least 200 displaced families. In the long term, we plan to expand our assistance to up to 1,000 families to help as many people affected as possible. The humanitarian situation in Lebanon is catastrophic. Especially during the winter months, people depend on our help to survive. With your support, we can provide life-saving assistance and give those affected at least the bare necessities.
